Thembalethu Sanitation

This project involved the following:

• Construction of 200mm Diameter x 0.5km of uPVC Bulk Gravity Sewer Pipelines from Thembalethu to Thembalethu Sewage Pumpstation
• Construction of 200mm Diameter x 2.3km of uPVC Bulk Rising Main Sewer Pipelines from Thembalethu Pumpstation to Mkuze WWTW
• Construction of Thembalethu Sewage Pumpstation
• Upgrade of Mkuze Waste Water Treatment Works to a capacity of 3.4Ml/day
• Supply and Installation of Electro-Mechanical Equipment at Thembalethu Sewage Pumpstation
• Construction of 160mm Diameter x 1.7km of uPVC Reticulation Sewer Pipelines and Sanitary Facilities in Thembalethu

Beneficiaries: On completion of the Thembalethu Sanitation Project, a total of 1,970 households will have access to waterborne sewerage.
