Msunduzi Review of WSDP

The original scope of works included interalia the provision of the following services with respect to Water and sanitation Services by ZIYANDA Consulting:

• Review of the draft Water Services Development Plan prepared by Msunduzi Municipality and dated March 2006 to determine gaps in the plan
• Addressing of gaps identified in the draft WSDP of March 2006
• Conversion of the draft WSDP to align with the “DWAF’s Guide Framework & Checklist for the Development of Water Services Development Plans, 2004, Revision 9 of 04 July 2005” (referred to as DWAF guidelines for WSDP preparation)

In essence, the scope of the project covered technical, financial/business, legal and social aspects of water and sanitation services.

• Obtain the additional information and/or data that was missing in the draft WSDP by way of strategic consultative processes with various stakeholders in the public and private sector
• Attend, on behalf of Msunduzi Municipality, workshops on the new version of the WSDP
• Liaison with Bigen Africa in populating the latest version of the WSDP
