ZIYANDA Consulting was appointed by Msunduzi Municipality to provide engineering services for the Ekhrosini Livestock and Fresh Produce Market Project Business Plan.

As part of the Business Plan development, an assessment of engineering services was undertaken. The assessment was undertaken as follows:

• Status Quo Assessment – This part of this assessment identified existing services and established the potential for the services to be extended to cater for any new developments
• Proposals for New Infrastructure – This part of the assessment detailed proposals for new infrastructure required to service proposed Ekhrosini Livestock and Fresh Produce Market

The engineering aspects covered include the following:

• Roads
• Potable Water for domestic and commercial consumption
• Sanitation Services
• Power supply
