Kwasani Backlog Eradication

ZIYANDA Consulting cc was appointed (in Joint Venture with SSI) to provide consulting services for the provision of a safe and reliable source of potable water to the communities living in the various project areas within KwaSani Municipality. The project involved the construction of the following:

• 8km of bulk water pipelines from Makuzeni/Greater Stoffelton WTW to Ntwasahlobo and Netherby.
• 5 km of bulk water pipeline from Makhuzeni/Greater Stoffelton WTW to Ridge.
• 3 – 10km of reticulation pipelines in Ntwasahlobo, Netherby and Ridge.
• Construction of 0.2 Ml Reservoir and 0.5 Ml Reservoir and 4 No. Pumpstation Buildings.
• Equipping of the 4 No. Pumpstations.
• Upgrade of the raw water abstraction and WTW jointly with UMgungundlovu DM.

Beneficiaries: The future population for the area could therefore vary between 23 000 and 35 800 people
