Kokstad Waste Water Treatment Works Upgrade

This project involved the Supply and Installation of Mechanical and Electrical and Equipment for Kokstad Wastewater Treatment Works Extension (upgrade by a rating of 3.5Ml/day) and the following work was done:

• the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical mixers to be installed in the anaerobic and anoxic zones of the bioreactor,
• The design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of five surface aerators comprising aerators, gearboxes and motors (4No. x 55kW; 1No. x 10kW) for the aeration of mixed liquor in the aerobic zones.
• The supply, installation, testing and commissioning of equipment for two 21.5 metre diameter secondary clarifiers complete with rotating bridge and scraper; inlet pipe, stilling chamber, electric power cabling and controls,
• The supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of:two return activated sludge submersible pumpsets,
• The supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of:two, 3-speed mixed liquor recycle (A recycle) pumps,
• Supply and installation of electrical equipment,
• Supply and installation of screens, overflow weirs, etc and other associated ancillaries
• Refurbishment of equipment on the existing waste water treatment stream of the works.
