Increasing the ZIYANDA footprint

In its efforts to increase the ZIYANDA footprint and projects, ZIYANDA has been appointed to participate as civil/structural engineers in the following projects:

(a) Umshwathi Local Municipality

Umshwathi Local Municipality has appointed ZIYANDA to participate in the following community projects:

  • Development of Thuthuka Training Centre – This is a “fast track” project to upgrade existing facilities into modern and appropriate training facilities for the communities in the Umshwathi Local Municipality in the vicinity of Wartburg. It is anticipated that the associated engineering work will be put to tender in about mid to end July 2014, after which construction work is expected to commence.
  • Extension of the Oqaqeni Service Centre – This project ibnvolves the extension of existing facilities to meet the growing demand for services. Again this project it is anticipated that the associated engineering work will be put to tender in about mid to end July 2014, after which construction work is expected to commence.

The ZIYANDA team members actively involved in the project are Bongani Mlalazi & Stanley Mgutshini.

(b) Umgeni Water,

Umgeni Water has appointed ZIYANDA to participate in a number of emergency work projects for a number of municipalities in KwaZulu Natal. All work is currently in progress and is due for completion by the end of June 2014. The ZIYANDA team members actively involved in the project(s) are Gasa Mlambo, Owen Moyo, Nkosi Malishe & Stanley Mgutshini.

(c) Department of Social Development (DSD) offices in Gamalakhe, Port Shepstone

ZIYANDA has been appointed as civil/structural engineers for the upgrade of the DSD offices in Port Shepstone. Again, this is a fast track project with tenders expected to be invited in/about end July 2014. The ZIYANDA Team members actively involved in the project are Owen Moyo and Patrick Maisiri. This project is run from the Port Shepstone Offices.
