ZIYANDA Consulting has just completed a Project Implementation Plan to provide “hands on” technical support to the Sisonke District and Umzimkhulu Local Municipalities. In developing the plan of interventions, ZIYANDA Consulting applied the “Logical Framework Analysis” as a tool for defining the problem trees and the interventions to address bottle-necks (specific to the individual municipalities) in the delivery of municipal services. The assistance is funded by the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, CoGTA, through the Municipal Infrastructure Service Agent.
Interventions applied include the following:
- Provision of experienced ZIYANDA staff to work side by side with officials of the municipality,
- Assistance with the development of strategic plans, policies and standards to regulate service provision and ensure “hygiene” conditions
Some of the ZIYANDA staff working on the project includes Gasa Mlambo, Stanley Mgutshini, Nkosi Malishe & Nhlanhla Magubane.
